Neighborhood Recovery Initiative

The Neighborhood Recovery Initiative is a collaborative project involving the Illinois Violence Prevention Authority (IVPA), the Governor's Office and community-based organizations.  Its goal is to reduce risk factors and promote protective factors associated with violence through the creation of jobs for youth and parents that promote community wellness and healthy behaviors, youth and parent leadership and healthy, caring environments and the provision of a wide range of community-based services for children, youth and young adults through partnerships with local organizations.
